Just a quick journal update to say that, even though I have been inactive for about 22 months, I still hold DA near and dear to my heart. I even just found out that my younger sister has begun to use it. Following in my footsteps, eh? Anyway, maybe I will regain activity sometime soon. Maybe. [Call me maybe].

The start of an adventure rarely feels like one...

In just a week and a half, I'm going to be starting the grand adventure that is SENIOR YEAR. Thinking of leaving not only high school, but also my home and life, reminds me that there is life after this moment. That no matter the things that could be going wrong, I'll be able to move forward. Always.

This is also a great moment to think back on High School. Well, as we all know, high school isn't always the best. It was actually not too fantastic. Between my personal insecurities and general teenage struggles I can say I came out with a pretty good experience. But there's still a lot of experiences I have yet to feel. I'm hoping this SENIOR YEAR will fill that void. So I can leave for college ready to jump at it and have the best time of my life. For sure!

By the way, I'd just like to mention for all the Avatar: The Last Airbender fans out there that it's ZUTARA WEEK !!
Yes, I am a Zutarian. Very proud. But I respect Kataang eternally. And to some extent I like it, but how could you not ship Zutara??! Seriously.. My cousin ship Kataang and we have gotten into quite heated debates!

PS, I painted my nails a soft pink color and a hot pink color, alternating by finger.

I've apparently been away from DA for a couple months. I deeply apologize.

However, as the title of the journal suggests, my gun is loaded and aimed.

Metaphorically, of course.

I really mean that I'm ready with a good amount of photographs ready to be uploaded.

The Bad News? I'm leaving in two days and I'm not sure if I'm taking my laptop yet.
If I am, then no worries. If I'm not, there's a problem. I won't be back until the 18th of July. S:

Either way, a busy summer is not going to keep me away from DA for too long! (:

So what is any (almost) 17-year-old girl's biggest obstacle in uploading more photographs? Yes, that's right. S-C-H-O-O-L. I can't even say the word. I can't wait to get outta there and do what I wanna do when I wanna. Anyway, the biggest thing from the S word that kept me from posting was participating in the science fair. However, it's all over now and I'm back with new photogrphs!

And even better! : In our school's photography club we're going to be doing a project for the school's coming art gallery. My point is, I'll be uploading the hopefully awesome photos I'll be taking. Yay! And let me just say I'll be taking my first photo shoots. Yay!

I'm really excited. Hope it comes all great!

YES! I've finally done it!

I've been talking about scanning the photos from my film camera for a while now, but I finally did it! I scanned all the goods one and the ones I want to share with you guys! :]

There first one's already up and the rest should be coming up gradually (lol, don't wanna bombard it all in one sitting). I also want to edit the black and white contrast and curves and stuff. So that'll keep me busy for a while (:

Did I forget to mention all my film photos are black and white? Well, now you know! lol

Anyway, this Sunday I'll be (hopefully) taking some nice pictures at a rain forest so I might get some new ones soon i cannot wait! Apparently, it's going to be a very muddy day

AND!! VACATIONS !!
I simply cannot say this enough times!

I've been on the verge of mental breakdown many times with school stuff. So I'm incredibly glad it's OOOVEEER

It's getting colder everyday in preparation for the notorious Christmas fever!

I for one love Christmas and cannot wait for my family to visit and have an awesome time !

I also might go on a trip the second week of January, but that's still in idea form.

So, in photography news, I realized the other day that my scanner was working. FINALLY!
That means I'll be able to put up the photos I've taken with my analog camera. That'll be great!

Also, I'm working on setting up a time with one of my friends to try out my first 'official' photo shoot. As you can guess, I'm simply a beginner, so if anyone has any tips to offer, feel free to do so. I would appreciate it so much!
I'll probably be mixing it up between digital and analog for the photo shoot, so any tips you can offer would be great!

On another note, I've recently discovered my obsession with coloring cartoons from the 90s.
I really don't know if anyone is interested in seeing some cartoons made by a photographer, but I might put them up in m scraps, just in case.
The drawings will probably be up around the time the analog photos are up because I have to scan both of those. I have finals this coming week so I'll be suuuuper busy, but I would like to put them up in about a week if i can. So, be prepared (:

So the new school year has started and it's ALREADY cutting down my time. i have a tons of photos i want to edit and post on here, but having no time is becoming an increasing problem. Also, I started on photography class once again on Saturdays. I love it. It' so much fun. It's black an white film photography. So that means I'll have to scan whatever I work on there and try to post it here. looking forward to showing that. (:

On another note, because school has started, after school club are now in motion. I'm a recurring member of the photography club, so we were in charge of the club stand on the club fair the other day. To show what we do in the club, a couple of friends and I put together an album of our photos. We also printed a few large approximately 8.5x11 photos. I had 3 printed. I don't think I've ever had any of my digital photography photos printed, so seeing them in print was amazing. And to make it even better, a whole bunch of people said they like them, especially one in particular which is one of my personal favorites of mine. So I was reeeally happy that day. I always worry if people will like my photos, so I'm really glad that got a positive feedback. I'm ecstatic. And in case you're wondering, the one that got all the comments was my recent 'Eating Watermelon' photo. Sorry, i can't thumbnail it.. :S

As you can tell from the title, I went on a trip to a few European cities a couple weeks ago. It was a breath-taking experience. I had never been to Europe. It was amazing! What I was most in awe about was probably the architecture of the buildings that have been there since goodness knows when. I took a toooon of pictures, some of which, I think, are worth of dA. So I will slowly beuploading them across the course of a couple weeks. Hopefully people will like them.

Hey there!

So I went on a vacation these las couple of weeks and it was amazing!
I went to my cousin's house in Oregon then to Las Vegas. It was all so beautiful! The constrast from the natural scenery of Oregon to the city lights of Las Vegas! I took a TON of pictures.

This is basically just a journal entry to let you know that I'll be popping in every few days to post one or two pictures. I don't want to suddenly post ALL of them. They're a handful

Anyway, so other than popping in and posting, I probably won't be online that much for the next two weeks. I have so much school work to do it's not even funny!

And I probably shouldn't even be on right now, but I just hadn't written a journal entry in so long I thought I would.

I finally got around to uploading sooome of my pictures. My scanner for some odd reason isn't working so all the pictures I've taken with my SLR are stuck in my protafolio. Sorry. I'll try to get it fixed soon.

Anyway, yes, I know most of my recently-uploaded pictures are macro. I'm a macro freak. I love it.

I love the whole 'new perspective' a macro gives.

Escpect a future collection in my gallery about some random macro shots of stuff around my desk. Better than it sounds, trust me. You'll never look at you stapler the same way again.

Internet surfing does that to me.

I have been looking at some pretty cool photography on here.

Honestly, it intimidates me.

I'm no where near as good a photographer (or photoshopper) as everyone around here is.

And my 'Tools of the Trade' don't compare.

Would it be cheesy to say:

"Even being on the same website is an honor"?

Yeah, I thought so, too.

That's why I'm not saying it.

Anyway, I leave my photo-uploading for tomorrow, when the world seems smaller.
